History of Lamborghini

Lamborghini is a heavyweight of the automotive industry. Respected and desired by the lovers of cars, the empire founded by Italian Ferrucio Lamborghini always has been a step forward in the market thanks to their futuristic designs, the quality of its machinery, performance on the tracks and of course, its speed. Lamborghini factory was born in 1963 in Sant?Agata Bolognese in Bologna, just a few kilometres the factory Ferrari, its arch-rival in the industry.

After assignments to several companies and some risks of bankruptcy, Automobili Lamborghini Holding S.p.A finally joined the hands of Volkswagen in 1998. Beginnings of Lamborghini

The history of Lamborghini begins with the clutch of a Ferrari. After the second world war, Ferrucio Lamborghini had reached an important place in the Affairs of Italy on the market of agricultural machinery. Advantageous economic position allowed him to indulge his passion for cars, buying sports such as Mercedes, Lancia, Maserati and several Ferrari.

However, Lamborghini always had problems with his Ferrari models. Even after taking them these were failing him. Enzo Ferrari responded saying: "a manufacturer of tractors could not understand my car".

That was the only thing that was missing so that Lamborghini begins to create their own sports and compete against the invincible Ferrari. "I want a car with no vices, and thus will be" he said then.

The first Lamborghini prototype was the 350 GTV, vehicle reaching up to 240 km/h. Later put on the market the 350 GT and 400 GT which were well received in the public, but which gave the nail on the head was the Miura in 1967, named for the great love of his creator to bullfighting (Lamborghini names are Bull "pardoned", forgiven for his bravery in the ring). The great attraction of the Miura was the placement of the engine in the center position, which at the time was a major revolution in the industry. Subsequent years of Lamborghini

In 1973 Lamborghini sat with the Countach final bases of what was a perfect sports: extremely low, wide, fast and with scissor doors. For 13 years he was car industry faster. Despite this success, the crisis of the petroleum of the Decade as well as the decision of Ferrucio only sell expensive and exclusive cars took him and the factory fell into deep crisis.

Under the command of the German company Devil leaves the production line, taking as a substitute for the Lamborghini Murci?lago and later at least powerful Gallardo, both with moderate success in sales.

Even so, as only they can do it big, Lamborghini was reborn from its ashes. Today, the nearly fifty years of its founding, the firm founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini (who died in 1993) enjoys the best economic times, quadrupling its sales around the world.

Lamborghini is undoubtedly one of the pillars of the automotive industry, indispensable to talk about car name. Cars of celebrities such as Elton John, Rod Stewart, Jay Leno, Jay Kay (singer of Jamiroquai which used a devil in his video "Cosmic Girl"), among others.

One of these "customers", the great Frank Sinatra, left sitting with these words the battle among the largest manufacturers of Italy: "you drive a Ferrari when he wants to be someone. You drive a Lamborghini when it is someone".
