Nissan calls nearly 1 million cars to recall

Nissan announced a global recall involving 989,701 vehicles sold by Nissan and Infiniti brands in North America. According to the company, there is the possibility that the passenger side airbag did not inflate in the event of a strike.

According to documents published by the agency responsible for road safety in the U.S. (NHTSA), a problem in the software that identifies the presence of people in the passenger seat can identify that there is no one sitting, regardless of whether the occupant is a child or adult. Sought by reporting FOUR WHEELS, a spokesperson for Nissan Brazil stated that "the versions of the Sentra and Altima models involved in the campaign announced in the U.S. are not marketed in Brazil" and that therefore "no unit will be sold in the country convened ".
