Prepares Jeep SUV platform with Fiat
Eye on the rise of the compact SUVs segment, Jeep is preparing to launch a model below Compass.
Tentatively called the Jeepster, the vehicle will use the platform of the Fiat 500L - and future 500X. However, instead of round and nostalgic traces of his "brother" Italian, the youngest of the Jeep will have more square design, following the philosophy of corporate style. The camouflage applied on the prototype can even hide the definitive visual Jeepster, but one thing is certain: the grid with seven horizontal bars of course will not be left out.
The Jeepster compete in several markets with models such as Nissan Juke, Peugeot 2008 and Renault Captur. Both he and the Fiat 500X will be produced in the same factory, located in Italy. His debut can happen in March during the Geneva Motor Show.
