Study shows problems in new cars increased

For the first time since 1998, JD Power and Associates reported that the number of problems per 100 vehicles has increased in the United States. The study, with 41 million people, aims to raise defects in cars up to three years.

When analyzed models acquired in 2011 are perceived problems in 133-100 cars about 6% more than last year's study showed. The biggest complaint is about the engine and transmission.

Among the brands, Lexus stands as the most reliable, registering just 68 problems per 100 vehicles. Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac, Buick and Acura had the worst grades, with 104, 107, 109 and 112 problems per 100 cars, respectively.
