Mitsubishi Pajero: Get Driving In A Luxury

Mitsubishi Pajero is named after leopard’s Pajero which is a pampas cat and a native of the southern Argentina, plateau region, Patagonia. It is a sport vehicle which is manufactured by the Mitsubishi motors. In the overseas markets several other alternative names were given to this sport utility vehicle. In India and Americans except Brazil Spain it is known as Mitsubishi Montero, which means mountain hunter. In Japan it was sold as the car plaza. In 2006 the sales were of this car was discontinued in the U.S. but the 4th generation iteration, the vehicle is being continued swelling.

Different names of the Pajero

Thanks to the success, the Montero, the Pajero and Shogun were the other names which were applied to the unrelated models mechanically, such as the Pajero junior, Pajero I/Pinin, which is a mini SUV, as well as the Mitsubishi Montero/Pajero/Shogun. The main competitors of the Pajero are Toyota land cruiser Prado LWB/SWB, the land rover discovery and Nissan-patrol Y61.

The 4th generation of the Pajero was introduced on Sep 30, 2006 at the Paris motor show. In the fourth generations few modifications were done like the engines of the car were improved with the common rail technology 3.2 Liter Diesel, aDPF for much clearer producing and emission 125KW (167hp/170PS) and the 3.8 liter V6 in advance MIVEC inconsistent timing which boosts the influence to 184 KW (247hp/250PS). Both the engines are amazing and meet Euro IV standards of emission. The 3.0L V6 is preserved for the GCC and Japanese markets.

New version of the petrol engine

In the GCC market 3.0 Lv6 engine was crashed since 2009 and then it was restored by the 3.5LV6 engine which was rated for 141LS (189hp/192ps) and torque was 306Nm, in the year 2011 further enhancements were shown in the turbo diesel 3.2L and the torque and power increased to 147KW/197hp/200PS and 441Nm respectively. The 3.8 L engine (petrol) remained at 184KW and 329Nm torque using 95RON fuel, in the markets there is paneled Van version of the vehicle is available where such models can be easily registered at very lower rates in the market. Several modifications were made in the engine because of the failure of the previous petrol engines.

In some markets in the year 2010 the Pajero got additional features like Rockford acoustic sound system. It was also available in the two color options for the interiors that were beige and black. In the year 2012 the car was completely restyled and was provided with a new and improved suspension and body.
