Nissan Murano: Opting For A Longer Route

The Nissan Murano was first sold in December 2002-2003 models by Nissan. It is a medium sized SUV and was introduced as the first crossover for the Canada and the United States. Initially it was designed by the Nissan at California America La Jolla. This first generation model was based on the FF-L platform which was also being shared by the Altima the third generation of the Nissan. In the year 2004 the single Murano European version began sales. A convertible version, which was marketed as the cross cabriolet and premiered at the Los Angeles International show of automobiles for 2011 year model.

The only SUV of the Nissan was the only one crossover SUV until Nissan rouge was introduced in the market. Nissan‘s 2nd car based SUV went on sale in Canada the X-Trail since the year 2004 and as a 2005 year model. In the year 2008 this model was replaced by Nissan rouge. Now the Murano is based upon the D platform of Nissan which is also shared by the 4th generation Altima and the new version of the 2009 Nissan maxima. Nissan has offered the Murano of 2009 with a revised version of the award winning 3.5 liter VQ engine and it is rated at the 198 KW, 265 horsepower, which is a hike in of twenty over the previous model. The torque in the model is rated at 248 Ft-lb that is 336Nm torque. The engine of the Nissan Murano is mated with the adjusted continuously variable transmission having adaptive control for the shift. Several other modifications have also been done in the Nissan Murano. EPA fuel economy of the Murano is rated as an eighteen city per twenty three highways.
