Details on how Porsche Cayenne came into existence

Porsche cayenne, a luxury five seat car has its own charm and elegance. It is a mid size car manufactured by Porsche since the year 2002. Though for the development of the platform, Porsche was responsible but at the same time it is mutual with Volkswagen Touareg. When Porsche 928 stopped, it was the first of its kind (V8-engined) since 1995 built by the manufacturer Porsche.

Cayenne’s Type numbers

The year 2008 saw the technology of direct injection. In the year 2002-2006, Type 955 had all the spotlight followed by Type 957 in 2007-10 and from 2011 onwards Type 958 carried on.

Progress of Cayenne

The type 958 which was in market from 2010 onwards was unveiled in a motor show. In spite of a few similarity shared by Volkswagen Touareg in terms of body frame, doors, etc, all the other features from the vehicle design to the production are managed by Porsche.

The growth and progress of Porsche continued and in 2007, it came up with fully functioned Cayenne Hybrid with fuel efficient diesel capacity. For the present year, 2013 Cayenne remains unchanged.
