Toyota Tundra: Creating A New Look

The Toyota Tundra, a complete-size pickup truck produced by Toyota, a Japan based automobile manufacturer since 1999. It was finally elected for North American Truck Award and was awarded as a Motor Trend magazine's Truck in the year of 2000 and 2008. Recently, the Tundra is accumulated in Texas, San Antonio, USA where manufacturing was combined in 2008.

How the Toyota Tundra similar to the older models

As compared to the older compact Toyota and Toyota T100, a first generation Toyota Tundra had a number of similarities with them. One of the main similarities between them was the combined utilization of a V6 engine of 3.4 liter which was taken as the peak of the line engine in both the T100 and Tacoma. The V6 engine would act as the foundation engine for the Toyota Tundra whereas a second power plant, a primary for a Toyota truck, a 4.7 liter V8 engine was included in the lineup.

Specifications of the Toyota Tundra

In the event of Chicago Auto Show, a bigger Toyota Tundra was launched in the year of 2006. New Tundra had raised some cues of the Toyota Tacoma, its smaller brother and Toyota FTX concept truck. A second generation Toyota Tundra comes in three types of engines. A new V8 engine of 5.7 liter, produces 284 kW (381 HP) and 544 N-m (401 pound-feet) of torque and the hold over 2UZ-FE V8 engine of 4.7 liter rated at 206 kW (276 HP) and 424 N-m (313 pound-feet of torque), in addition to previous 1GR-FE V6 engine of 4.0 liter rated at 176 kW (236 HP) and 361 N-m (266 pound-feet) of torque.
