Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Concept presents
Alfa Romeo presented on Tuesday (4), first day of press conferences of the Geneva Motor Show, the Spider 4C concept. This is the convertible variant of the 4C Coupe, unveiled in 2013, which is expected to gain a production version in early 2015.
The modifications necessary to "take the roof" 4C yielded only 60 kg more to the model. Alfa Romeo used canvas roof with carbon fiber structure. The lightweight material was also used in the frame of the windshield.
Another peculiar feature of the 4C Spider is the central exhaust system with tailpipes titanium and carbon made by Akrapovic. It has an electrically operated valve system that provides more performance and more pleasant sound to the ears.
Anyway, the engine model is the same as the coupe: 1.75 turbo four-cylinder, delivering 240 horsepower and 35.7 Nm of torque, rear-wheel drive and six-speed rates and double clutch. The convertible goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds, reaching top speed controlled from 250 km / h.
