Another TITAN added to the Nissan truck line-up

As the audience is now familiar with the new Nissan TITAN XD truck, the time has come for the Japanese manufacturer to present its younger brother, a half-ton TITAN. These two trucks are designed to meet the requirements of 85 percent of potential customers bacause they provide all the features important for the standard and light-duty models.

Regardless of the fact that the exteriors of two vehicles have much in common, they are built on separate chassises. The standard version’s length is almost 230 inches and its width is close to 80 inches, while the cab sizes of two models are the same. All the chassis components are unique for each truck.

TITAN is planned to have 4x2 and 4x4 drive options with three cabin variants. A customer will be able to choose between 5.5, 6.5 and 8 feet beds and one of five trim levels: from the basic S to the top option Platinum Reserve.

There will be two gasoline engines available. The first one is a 5.6L signature Nissan V8 engine with 390 bhp (401lb.-ft. of turque) and a 7-speed AT, while the second one is a V6, the capabilities of which are still unknown.

The truck itself will be manufactured in Missisipi, while the engine is planned to be produced in Tennessee. One will be able to buy this vehicle this summer.
