Bentley releases teaser SUV

Bentley releases teaser SUV

Bentley has released this Wednesday, March 19, the first teaser of his SUV, which will be released only in 2016.

The first SUV in the history of the brand already has two thousand applications for pre-sale, although customers still do not know how it will be. Anyway, so far it is almost certain that the model will not be as EXP 9 F SUV. Presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2012, the concept had a disastrous reception, being heavily criticized by the press and visitors. The reaction of those present made the brand review the project and virtually rule out the initial design, full of straight lines and somewhat disproportionate.

The teaser shows a vehicle surrounded by desert sand, revealing only the front part of the design, which follows the visual identity of the brand owned by Volkswagen. According to the company, the car will be "the most luxurious and powerful SUV market" and "will create an entirely new segment in the SUV category."

The automaker expects to sell at least 3000 units per year. To do so, it will invest 800 million pounds over the next three years. In addition to the "standard" versions, the model will have a hybrid option, which should be launched in 2018. While sharing the platform with other VW Group's SUV (like the new VW Touareg and Porsche Cayenne), the Bentley SUV to be produced at the company's plant, located in Crewe, England.
