Europe: VW makes few visual changes Polo 2014

Volkswagen released pictures and information on the model 2014 Polo sold in Europe. The brand promoted a few cosmetic changes to the car, emphasizing the additional security items arising from the seventh generation of the Golf.

Regarding the design, the Polo received modifications to bumpers, chrome as a line below the fog lights in the front and larger space for the plate on the rear, flashlights with the same format, but different fill five new options alloy wheels lightweight, redesigned instrument panel, new steering wheel and upgraded center console.

Moreover, the model has gained standard items such as automatic braking system after collision. As optional, available warning system are the driver, emergency braking system and automatic cruise control.

Under the hood, the Polo has won the diesel powertrain options already compatible with the new European emission regulations, such as the three-cylinder 1.4 (delivering 74 or 89 horsepower). The blocks are the petrol 1.0 MPI (59 hp or 74 hp), 1.2 TSI (89 or 104 hp) and 1.4 TSI with cylinder deactivation (148 hp).

The arrival of the new Polo to the European market is scheduled for the third quarter of 2014, first in Germany, then in other countries.
