Evoque arrives in the country with nine marches Exchange

The line 2014 Range Rover Evoque arrives in Brazil with an important novelty. The SUV is the first passenger car in the world equipped with an automatic transmission nine gears.

Manufactured by the German ZF transmission promises to deliver better fuel consumption, lower levels of emissions, more comfort and less noise, according to the automaker. The driver can also make changes sequentially through the butterfly behind the wheel.

Besides the new transmission, the Evoque has won more equipment. One is the Adaptive Autopilot (ACC), which braking or accelerating the vehicle in accordance with the speed preset by the driver. Another technology is the Torque Vectoring, which distributes torque to each wheel independently, improving cornering stability.

There are also start-stop system (stops the engine when the vehicle is stationary) and a new generation of Park Assist, which now makes beacons and park in spaces at 90 degrees (like the mall parking lots) without interference from the driver.

Externally, the car won smaller mirrors with a fillet of LEDs in place of the conventional arrow lights and new alloy wheels of 18, 19 and 20 inches. The Evoque will be sold in Pure, Dynamic and Prestige versions. All come with the same 2.0 turbo petrol engine, 240 hp. Prices Evoque 2014 line start from $ 192,000.
