Ford, finally, take new Mondeo / Fusion Europe

After several postponements, Ford finally defined the arrival of the fifth generation of the Mondeo (Fusion, here) to the European market. According to Auto Express website, the sedan will go on sale on the continent in the fourth quarter of 2014, with initial price in the UK, 15,500 pounds.

The model will come with several engine options, starting with the 1.0 EcoBoost. Also available: 1.5 EcoBoost (148 horsepower), 1.6 EcoBoost, EcoBoost 2.0, 1.5 and 2.0 TDCi diesel. A hybrid version will also be part of the catalog and should deliver 188 hp, with CO2 emission rate of 99 g / km.

The new Mondeo's standard transmission is a six-speed manual, emerging as the optional Powershift (dual clutch), six-speed. One of the versions equipped with a diesel engine and automatic transmission will have four-wheel drive, but details are still scarce on it.
