Ford launches pre-sale of the EcoSport in Europe
Ford launched the pre-sale of the EcoSport in Europe in a different way. The first 1,000 copies of the SUV can be booked only via Facebook.
Clients from 11 countries of the Old Continent (Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom and Switzerland) can configure and reserve your vehicle through the official website of Ford in the social network. Just under 100 units will be offered for each country. These vehicles come with two gratuiros media center applications in Sync: the Parkopedia, which allows you to search by a place at more than 15 million jobs in the database application and a system for recognizing voice commands, allowing command and access radios digital.
The start of sales of the EcoSport was announced during a technology fair in Barcelona, ??Spain. The brand also used the event to launch the "EcoSportLive!" Campaign, in which Ford will lend 100 vehicles personalities associated with the digital world and entertainment, as bloggers, musicians and fashion experts. Each of them will share their experiences with the SUV on the social networks via controlled by the central Sync applications, exploiting the connectivity aboard the EcoSport.
Prices and versions vary according to the country as well as the availability of copies reserved for each nation. In Portugal, all 100 units sold out quickly. There a cheaper version goes for 19,770 euros if equipped with the 1.0 Ecoboost engine, a figure that rises to 22,770 euros with the 1.5 diesel engine. In Spain, the versions are the same as the Portuguese market, but the price is lower: both cost 17,500 euros.
In Germany, the SUV is offered only in version 1.0 Ecoboost for 19,990 euros. Already in the UK, version 1.5 petrol goes for 15,995 pounds, while the EcoSport 1.5 diesel cost 17,495 pounds.
