Gumpert reveals Explosion in Geneva

The German manufacturer Gumpert is back and showed a new model at the Geneva show. Called Explosion, this is a car entry two-seater with an exotic design designed by Frank Martin.

The model includes plastic parts reinforced with carbon fiber and glass fiber and is equipped with a tubular chassis structure that guarantees lightness.

The Gumpert Explosion has a 2.0 liter 420 horsepower and 53 lb-ft of torque. It can be coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox or a paddle shift six-speed transmission, along with a system of four-wheel drive. This configuration allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in about three seconds.

The launch of the Gumpert will go into production later this year and will sell for a starting price of 105,000 euros.
