Honda Civic Type R will take the concept to the Geneva Motor Show
Honda announced on Wednesday, 12, a sketch of the Civic Type R design concept, which will be officially unveiled in early March during the Geneva Motor Show. The production version of the model is scheduled to be launched in 2015 with a more aggressive look.
As you can see in the sketch, the body is more robust, with air vents behind the wheels, besides having a large rear wing with futuristic taillights, giving the hatchback look different.
Other important changes include the implementation of an exhaust system with four outlets, a rear diffuser, black alloy rims a matte black finish that begins in the rear bumper and is present in the whole car.
The model is equipped with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder gasoline Earth Dreams newly developed that will deliver at least 280 horsepower, but it is believed that Honda has a target performance of 304 hp, sent only to the front axle through a manual six-speed gearbox.
The top of the line Civic will come with a stiffer chassis and rear bumpers with adaptive pattern, which are optional in Civic Tourer.
