Jaguar XK Coupe will replace to XJ
Jaguar is planning to replace the XK Coupe (pictured) for larger XJ, something that should happen by the year 2017. According to published the English site AutoExpress, the model would be called XJ Coupe.
The XK will be retired this year and of course Jaguar is working on a model to fill the empty space and compete with models like Mercedes-Benz S Class Coupe and Bentley Continental GT.
The model would use a stretched platform of the F-Type and would be equipped with a range of V6 and V8 supercharged gasoline powered engines. Rather than look like a huge F-Type, it is essentially a two-door coupe derived from the XJ with a larger front grille with chrome front air entries and horizontal headlights.
