Mandatory use simulator driving schools
The National Traffic Council (CONTRAN) stipulated a new period for the driving schools adopt a simulator in their driver training classes. According to the organization, the deployment of the device should occur by June 30 this year.
This need arose with the resolution 444/13 Contran, in effect since January. The purpose of the council with the mandatory use of simulators is to assist in driver training process. Would be five classes with 30 minutes duration for each student.
The measure, however, is being challenged in the House of Representatives. The Draft Legislative Decree 1.263/13, for example, negates the imposition of the use of simulators. By 321 votes to 4, parliamentarians nodded in treating such a project in an emergency.
The claim is that many of the deputies developed the European Union and the United States, countries do not prescribe a mandatory simulator in driver training process. Furthermore, the adaptation to the resolution would bring high costs to driving schools - on average, a simulator is priced at ? 40,000 - and, consequently, the costs would be passed on to students.
