Mercedes Announces third shift in manufacturing of CLA
Mercedes-Benz announced that its manufacturing CLA model, will have third shift, due to the high demand for the vehicle.
The car is produced in f?bricade Kecskem?t, Hungary, which is also partly responsible for the manufacture of Class B. The model is finished in the Rastatt plant in Germany, where the Class A and GLA are mounted in three shifts, since October , 2012.
"Recently, our production has hardly followed the development of sales of our compact.'s Why now we move into our second factory of compact mode operations for two cars three shifts, this allows us to meet the desires of our clients "said Daimler CEO Dr. Dieter Zetsche.
Sales of the new generation of compact models with front wheel drive Mercedes remain high, with 28,211 vehicles sold in February. This represented an increase of 27.4% compared to the same month in 2013. Since the beginning of the year, Mercedes-Benz sold 55,409 compact cars.
Last year we were sold a total of 371,399 compact cars, 64% more compared to the year 2012.
