MINI announces prices of new models in the UK
The prices of the new MINI models were officially revealed and start at ? 13,750 for the hatch One, while the "flagship" Cooper S will cost 18,650 pounds. The vehicles will be produced at the factory in Oxford and requests may be made at dealerships starting next Saturday, March 15.
Although instantly recognizable models of the third generation are completely new. Space, performance, efficiency and refinement were all improved, while the proportions also increased.
The changes continue under the hood, with three new three-cylinder engines of the brand already available, each relying on turbochargers for the first time.
The entry model of MINI One is equipped with a 1.2 three-cylinder block and 101 horsepower (13,750 pounds), while the diesel version uses a 1.5 95 hp engine and costs ? 14,890.
The MINI Cooper (15,300 pounds) and MINI Cooper D (16,450 pounds) are equipped with engines 1.5 135 and 115 horsepower, respectively. The top of the line Cooper S (18,650 pounds) uses a 2.0 four cylinder block and 190 horses. The manual gearbox six-speed is standard equipment on all engines, while a six-speed automatic is available as an option.
