New Ford F-150 may have V6 diesel

Ford is working on the development of a 3.0 V6 diesel engine for the recently launched new generation of F-150 pickup. The news was revealed by the website The Truth About Cars, citing internal sources of the automaker, who maintained anonymity.

The proposal to produce a block like this for the F-150 was already evaluated by Ford a few years ago, but the crisis of the U.S. market in 2008 meant that plans were interrupted at the time and recently resumed. The idea is to equip the truck with the new engine, internally called Lion, circa 2018.
