The Peugeot 308 has won a new three-cylinder engine in Europe. The PureTech and THP-version brings a 1.2 liter engine with turbocharger, which yields 130 hp and prioritizes fuel economy.

According to figures released by Peugeot with supervision of UTAC (Union Technique Automobile), the body responsible for monitoring tests conducted by the automobile industry in France, the 308 PureTech made an impressive average of 35.07 km / l during testing at the Almeria circuit Spain. The vehicle had rates of six gears and was directed by more than 32 hours to the 51.4 liters tank is completely empty, covering a total distance of 1,810 kilometers.

Although not as economical as well in the "real world" - ie in traffic in large cities such as Paris and Sao Paulo -, and 308-PureTech THP was considered "a benchmark for the industry as more economical gasoline-powered vehicle."

Remember that Peugeot has experience in "Novotels" models. The 308 has a 1.6 BlueHDi diesel engine of 120 hp which has an average fuel consumption of 32.2 km / l. Moreover, the average hatchback is one of the biggest hits of selling the brand's history (which forced Peugeot to increase production) and is one of the candidates for the award of Car of the Year in Europe (European Car of the Year).
