USA: Industry expected shortage of aluminum for automakers

Ford recently introduced a new generation of F-150 pickup . Representatives from two of these companies, Novelis and Alcoa, told The Detroit News the site of the current landscape. "There is a major automaker that does not even talk to us," said Tom Boney, Novelis. The reason for this interest, according to Boney, was the impact of the launch of the new F-150.

As for Alcoa being built three new factories, two in the United States and Saudi Arabia. "These are investments we are making in order to meet demand, but much of the added capacity is already compromised. Automakers know it will be better to talk to us as soon as possible, "said Kevin Lowery, spokesman for Alcoa.
