VW Golf wins plug-in hybrid version
A new version of Golf will be among the attractions of Volkswagen at the Geneva show. The Golf GTE is a hybrid plug-in, equipped with a 1.4 TSI petrol engine, 148 hp and an electric motor of 75 kW (or 101 hp). The combined power is 201 hp, with maximum torque of 35.5 lb-ft.
The car can be used in 100% electric mode. In this case, it can run up to 50 kilometers, reaching 130 km / h. If the choice is the hybrid mode, the hatch takes 7.6 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km / h, reaching a maximum speed of 217 km / h. The range goes up to 940 km with the assistance of the two motors and the average fuel consumption is a staggering 55.2 km / l.
Visually, only the drawing grid GTE differentiates from other versions of the Golf. The media center of the vehicle are shown various vehicle functions, including the flow of energy while the car is in motion and data autonomy.
