VW Golf wins plug-in hybrid version

A new version of Golf will be among the attractions of Volkswagen at the Geneva show. The Golf GTE is a hybrid plug-in, equipped with a 1.4 TSI petrol engine, 148 hp and an electric motor of 75 kW (or 101 hp). The combined power is 201 hp, with maximum torque of 35.5 lb-ft.

The car can be used in 100% electric mode. In this case, it can run up to 50 kilometers, reaching 130 km / h. If the choice is the hybrid mode, the hatch takes 7.6 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km / h, reaching a maximum speed of 217 km / h.
