VW Passat makes the recall in the U.S. and Canada

Volkswagen is conducting a recall of 160,351 units of the Passat in the U.S. and Canada. The call, which involves possible defects in low beam, affects the 2012-2013 model year vehicles.

According to the automaker, the hood of the sedan is' locked sharply ", the force can cause the headlight bulbs lose electrical contact. Volkswagen says that if this happens, a warning light will illuminate inside the car, alerting the driver.

The German automaker said no accidents or injuries related to the issue of illumination were recorded and it will notify owners of the recall campaign, in which dealers will replace the affected bulbs, and inspect the hood for adjustment or replacement in order to avoid contact with the headlight assembly in the future.
