The Giulietta has been the compact automobile that was manufactured by Alfa Romeo, a car maker from Italy. The manufacture of the car took place from 1954-1965 and in the Motor Show of Turin it was first introduced. It was Portello Factory at Milan where about 132,000 Giulietta were built in 101 and 750 series.
A Brief History
By the end of 1954, the first coupe model of Giulietta, Giulietta Sprint was introduced. The sedan was then introduced in spring of 1955.By the mid of 1955 the Giulietta Spider, was introduced by Pininfarina that featured convertible bodywork. In 1957, a powerful version Berlina named Giulietta TI was presented along with certain cosmetic changes that were made to the rear lamps, dial lights, and the hood.
The Mechanical Facts
The engine used in Giulietta was Twin Cam from Alfa Romeo with straight-41290 cc. It had a cylinder block of light alloy and its head had two overhead camshafts. In Sedan the engine power output was 46 kW (62 hp) which was 60kW (80hp) in the Sprint model. 1.3l engine got 75mm stroke and 74mm bore. In the sporting models of Giuliettasuch as the Sprint Zagato and the Sprint Speciale the engine power was supposed to be raised to 75kW (100hp).
