Astra Vauxhal, The Ups And Downs
Astra Vauxhall is a British supplementary part of the Adam Opel AG that is in existence since 1979. Earlier the astra nameplate was used in Opel's version at B/C platforms. Saturn, a branch of General Motors provided an opportunity to Astra of confirmed import at the end of 2007, before it was shutdown considering GM's financial losses. However, the deal couldn't work.
Vauxhall Astra had made a special appearance when its first look was introduced in Frankfurt Motor show in the year 2009. Ford Focus has to face disappointing selling since manufacturer has reduced its production to make space for Ford MK3, 2011.
New SUV Astra Versions
In 2010, SUV Astra versions, the Sports Tourer in ES, SRI and SE models were introduced in markets, in Astra's introduction style at Paris Motor Show. This version couldn't achieve big cause of heavy pricing. However, basic ES model worth ?16,575 and the ultimate SE worth ?20, 345; they couldn't achieve success like Astra I/J.
In just two years, it experienced ups & downs and it has potential to return back in limelight, again.
