All about the High performance BMW M6
The BMW motorsport division designed the coupe/convertible 6 series BMW M6 with high-performance version. The production of BMW M6 took place from 1983 to 1989 then from 2005 to 2010 and from 2012 till date.
In February of 2012 the announcement of details about M6 new generation was made. In March 2012 it was shown in the Motor Show of Geneva.
The Latest Updates
The latest model is designed on the base of BMW F13/F12. It has the M-DCT gearbox of 7 speed engine of S63 V8 of BMW. Its other technologies match to F10 of BMW M5. The roof of M6 coupe is of carbon fiber and other measures has been taken to make it 44 lb (20 kg) lighter that its predecessor. However, this model is 309 lb (140 kg) heavier than its previous model.
The Mechanical Whereabouts
According to the official figures of performance, in 4.2 seconds its acceleration is 0-62mph (0-100km/h). Without the package of M Driver the top speed is 155mph (250km/h). The design and style resembles toall the recent cars of M series. The car front has a badge of “M6” being the first of M6 generation.
