Ford Transit Connect: A Simple Look At The Features

Ford Transit Connect is a compact van developed by European division – Ford. It was designed by Peter Horbury and introduced in the year 2002 to replace the older models of Fiesta and Escort based on the Courier van ranges.

Transit Connect was imported to the North American market in the year 2010. In North America, Transit Connect did not have direct predecessor, and the closest vehicle of its size was the standard Ford Aerostar cargo van.

The second generation Transit Connect was introduced on 6th September 2012 in Netherlands. The vehicle was redesigned for the first time in the year 2012 right after its introduction in the year 2002.

2014 Transit Connect is expected to come with many advanced features. It adopts features of the kinetic design language. The major design that you can see is with respect to the optional rear lift gate.

Production of the vehicle will be at Valencia Plant, Spain. Tourneo Connect is exclusively produced in this particular plant. All the North American versions are manufactured and shipped to the United States. 2014 Transit Connect is expected to make a breakthrough in the minivan segment.
