Many markets outside the area of Korea have the name of the model as Hyundai Tuscon but soon retired for the name of Hyundai iX35. The model was unveiled at the Motor show of Frankfurt in the year 2009. Many features like comfort, power-output, safety and fuel efficiency have been upgraded. The project name being LM, the time duration took around 36 months to manufacture.

Styling of the Model iX35:

The styling of iX35’s is based on the ix-onic concept of Hyundai. It was penned by former designer of BMW named Thomas Buerkle in his design studio in Germany and still continues to style company’s automobiles. The SUV vehicle thus has premium feel along with coupe-like sweeping lines and has an array of features which are unavailable in the model’s predecessor.

Availability of Numerous Engines in the Model:

Tuscon/iX35 allows the car to be operated by various engines. The numbers of engines are UII diesel, 162 Gamma GDI gasoline, Theta-II gasoline and 2-litre diesel R engine. The former two were only present in Europe. The transmission which is automatic comes with Hyundai’s design of six-speed. Various transmissions are also available in Europe and North America. Diesel engine offered in both front and all-wheel drive is present in South Korean’s market whereas 2.0 l gasoline is only present in front-wheel drive.
