Iveco Daily: The Lightest Van You Can Have

Iveco Daily was marketed by Iveco in the year 1978 and it comes under category of large vans. It was sold as Fiat Daily till 1983, and also sold as mini-bus.

The first generation comprised 2 models-Iveco Daily35 and 50. The larger version Daily 50 had a total load capacity of up to 17m3. A new Turbo diesel version was introduced in the year 1980 and it was named as “TurboDaily”.

The fifth generation vehicles were introduced in the year 2011, during the month of September. Daily is offered in 3.5 to 7 tonnes configurations. The 6.5 tonne models were the largest models available in the 4th generation. However, the new fifth generation 7.0 Ton van increases the payload by additional 470Kg. The maximum payload for Daily is 4700 kg and the van comes with load of around 17.2 cubic meters.

7000 configurations are available through a mix of wheelbase lengths, heights, internal lengths, and axle ratios. As far as load volumes are concerned, Daily retains almost eight variants ranging from 7.3 meters to 17.2 meters that are derived from 4 load lengths and 3 load heights.

The standard load width is 1800mm; rear doors have a total aperture of 1540mm and it varies from 1430mm to 1990 mm in terms of height, width in range of 1100-1250 mm, and height ranging from 1415 mm to 1780 mm.
