Jeep Liberty: Get Your Freedom While Driving

Jeep Liberty also known as Cherokee in some parts of the world, is a compact sports utility vehicle introduced in the year 2002, produced by Chrysler’s Jeep marque. Liberty was actually released as a replacement to the Cherokee in US markets. The Liberty was priced between Grand Cherokee and Wrangler. It is the smallest of the 4-door SUVs based on the 4-door Patriot and Compass that arrived in the year 2007.

2002 Liberty featured a uni-body construction and was assembled at the Toledo North assembly plant in United States. It was also available in other countries such as Venezuela and Egypt.

In the year 2010, Jeep estimated that 70 percent of Liberty buyers had moved away from the brand, and company has to finally cease production of the Jeep Liberty in the year 2012.

It’s speculated that the upcoming 2014 Liberty will be equipped with 3.2L V6 pentastar engine, and it’d adopt a Fiat-based platform, but only time will tell how true those speculations really turn out to be.
