Lamborghini Diablo: An Exotic Classic Sports Car
Lamborghini Diablo is a top-performing mid-engined sports car built by the legendary Italian car manufacturer. The car was built from 1990 to 2001, and it got plenty of eye-balls rolling, and even rocked the gaming enthusiasts on Need for Speed, and many similar games.
It was the first Lamborghini model capable of achieving a top speed in excess of 200 mph. At the end of the production in the year 2001, Diablo was replaced by the new Murci?lago.
Diablo was introduced to the public in the year 1990 powered by a 5.7 L, 48 valve dual overhead cam with multi-point fuel injection system, which could produce maximum output of 492 HP and torsion in the tune of 428 lb·ft.
The vehicle was capable of reaching 62 miles per hour in just 4.5 seconds and its top speed was limited to 202 miles per hour. It was a rear wheel drive vehicle and its engine was placed in the middle for balancing the weight.
Diablo was far well-equipped when compared with the Countach. Other standard features in Diablo included completely adjustable seats, electric windows, adjustable power steering, and an Alpine stereo system right from 1993.
Antilock brakes weren’t introduced initially, but were made available in the later models. A few optional features like remote CD changer, custom-molded driver's seat, rear spoiler, and subwoofer were included during 2000.
