Range Rover Hybrid: The History
Range Rover Hybrid is a new version of hybrid SUV as well as the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover which will be represented at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
It is known that the car will appear at the beginning of 2014. The version consumes less fuel and reduces CO2 blowouts offering high productivity and a lot of other opportunities.
Both versions are supplied with the same electric motor and a three-liter SDV6 diesel engine. The torque is 700 Nm. The new eight-speed automatic shift ZF is also provided.
Range Rover Hybrid weighs less than 2,4 tons accelerating to 100 km/h in 6,9 sec. Its top speed is 216 km/h. The Sport versions does it in 6,7 sec. Its top speed is 224 km/h.
Three transmission modes, such as electric EV, combined and not eco-friendly modes, are provided. The first one has an electric motor allowing reaching to 48 km/h. The torque is 170 Nm.
The car is equipped with the Terrain Response 2 system which is engaged in distribution of pull-rod between wheels.
The new models will be tested from the Solikhall-based plant and Mumbai-based Tata headquarters.
