Changes in 2003
It was since the year 2003 that in Europe Suzuki took over to an extended version of Cruze that was named as Zuzuki Ignis. In truth it was a complete facelift of the original version of Ignis.
A version that was exclusively adopted in Europe that year was named as the Subaru G3X Justy.
In the same year a modification to the vehicle was made for its European versions. This modification was affected by expanding the length of the Cruze by 145mm. The changes were introduced to provide extra space for cargo as well as for making the vehicle more comfortable. Designing and manufacturing of the changed version of the vehicle was completed at Esztergon in Hungary. However in case of Japan, the changes were not used and Japanese buyers remained contended with the Chevrolet version.
Suzuki Ignis has transmission variations according to fuel consumption rates associated with the vehicle. While in the 1.3 liter form only manual FWD is available for the 1.5 liter version both manual and automatic FWD are there. The manufacturing company brought up a diesel version with Multijet engine of Fiat in the year 2005.
Collaboration between Japanese Subaru and Hungarian ignis witnessed the appearance of the Subaru G3X Justy that was widely marketed in entire Europe during 2003-2007. The version had AWD only.
